For example, in a poker game that uses the community cards, a flush is the highest possible hand; a straight flush is the second-highest and a full house is the third-highest. Other combinations of cards may be tied for the highest, including a pair of kings or a pair of aces.
A flush is made up of 5 consecutive cards of the same suit, while a straight flush is 5 cards of different suits. The highest-ranking hand is a royal flush, which includes a 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace of the same suit.
Most poker games use a standard deck of 52 cards, although there are some variants that use a special deck of cards. These games are known as stud poker and may be played with 2, 3 or 4 players.
